28 Sep Tea Cares, one sip at a time. Keurig K-Cup Style Single Serves now available.
Well, it’s been a whirlwind (no pun intended)! Just sitting at home and wondering what I could do to give back to my community. Talking with my BFF’s, we found the answer right in our cuppas! Produce K-Cup Style Single Serves, something that we’ve been doing a long time. In 5 days, chose the tea, produced the cups, packaging and website. TEACARES.COM is up and running. Thank you ZAC from Paypal! Off course we’ll be fine tuning as life carries on.
With flood damages expected to cost tens of billions of dollars and hearing about so many people who were caught in muddy floodwaters – what could we do to help raise awareness and money to help out? It’s hard to hear all about the hardships that people are going through in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and now Puerto Rico these past few days.
Teacares.com sells 100% recyclable single serve K-Cup Style Teas and Hot Chocolate and donates 50% of sales. Check out the blends here
TeaCares is live and functioning. We have our first sale from a very cool guy who doesn’t own a Keurig. Thank you Rich for your patience while we get the kettle boiling! How do donations work? I bet that’s what you are thinking. We are using Charity Navigator to locate bona fide organizations for a donation. If you know about an organization, please contact us so we can reach out to them and put them in our donation pool.
At the end of each month, we’ll identify charities, cut a check and send it to them. If sales suck, then I will put my hand into my own pocket and make sure a donation happens each month until the word gets out. It’s the least we can do. Most of us reading this post are very fortunate. We have our families, our health, roofs over our heads, we have electric and can sip a beverage that will help out an unfortunate family, or help with medical services for the sick and elderly in our communities. Our shop uses paypal express and you’ll be able to use a credit card or paypal – whatever works best for you.
This is all so new. Tea Cares will ask for some “social” proof that we donated, of course! We envision a simple shout out will do is what I’m thinkin’ – keeping it real simple. If you have any ideas, please reach out to us with your ideas, the more the merrier. Here is the link to our contact page.
And we’ll ask questions on how the donations work, get the backstory and publish it when possible to keep you all informed.
We’ll let you know how it goes.
Happy Sipping 🙂
